Lego Labyrinths in Third Grade

The third grade students learned about how Theseus killed the Minotaur and escaped his labyrinth! They created their own lego labyrinths with trap doors, ramps and many dead ends!

Fractals in Fifth Grade!

Our 5th grade students learned what fractals are and then broke into groups to study and draw one type of fractal. Finally they had to share their knowledge and mathematical art with a new group.

Rubric Cube Mosaics

Our 5th graders created Rubric Cube Mosaics and designed their own this month. It was Mosaic Madness with 36 cubes!

Reese's Robbery

Our GT third graders came last Tuesday to find our room had been vandalized and candy stolen! They quickly gathered evidence and questioned suspects. Thankfully we found our culprit and had our Reeses returned! Our detectives were diligent as you can see from our movie.

Valentines in Binary Code

Our 3rd graders had so much fun using Binary Code to create Valentine Word Heart Bracelets. They used colors to symbolize the 0 and 1 of Binary Code. They learned that you can't pick big words when each letter is 8 beads!
