First Day for GT 3rd graders!

5th graders build rollercoasters

4th grade Skyscraper Challenge

4th graders worked together in groups to build the tallest and strongest skyscraper out of legos. Then it was tested outside by the "wind". (leaf blower) We had a great discussion afterwards about how to make the stronger next time!

Learning about Geometric Origami in 4th grade

This week 4th graders learned about how Origami is used in many sciences through Nova's The Origami Revolution. Then we folded our own origami cubes.  We'll be using these to explore math vocabulary such as faces, edges, vertices and points.
